Our chapter communicates regularly with both active military and local veteran’s associations. We participate in the collection of veteran history project interviews. Members attend Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) ceremonies, veteran memorials, grave marker dedications and other activities.
Preserving our past is always a respected focus of our chapter. Supporting local museums and cemeteries fosters interest and respect in our community.
The annual DAR Good Citizens Awards and Scholarship Contest is an uplifting highlight for area high school students and our chapter members. Donations of books and media to area schools and libraries reinforce the sense of community during Constitution Week. Supporting DAR Schools in their specific requests is always a joy for our chapter.
